Actually I have been blogging for about 10 years now, but I am a little shy to ask people to subscribe to my newsletter. So my opt-in form was very small and could be overseen easily. BigSellingVideoOptins changes that on 180 degrees.

To be clear, this product doesn’t just provide small, somehow nicely designed forms. It contains 45 (!) beautiful designed all-inclusive opt-in pages, with graphics and .psd-files plus a bonus template.

It’s up to the user how much one customizes the templates. Changing the video link, headlines/text messages and auto responder codes is mandatory; fonts and colors can be kept as is, if one likes the look.

Furthermore I got an eBook about list building, lots of helpful video tutorials and unadvertised bonuses with BigSellingVideoOptins Template Package that support the handling and tweaking of the templates.

On the download site, all content is placed on one long page with instructions and links to the graphic files (which are delivered in zip-format). The more I check out this page, the more I like the presentation of all materials. The look is clean and structured, with a step by step guide to get the desired outcome. Just read through the text from beginning to end, download the software, templates and fonts, watch the videos, follow the instructions, and you will be done. I wish more internet marketers would use such a friendly “user interface” to support the learning experience.

Brian Terry from BigSellingVideoOptins doesn’t give you only instructions and templates; he also serves you with the tools you need: links to free software and complete screen cast courses on how to use them, i.e. Gimp, FTP programs or screen capture tools. So everything is easy going – if you’re not completely overwhelmed by this offer

After the customization of a template you just need to upload it to your server, link to it and watch your subscriber list growing.

If you already use an auto responder system and want to grow your list, this product is for you! If you are new to Internet Marketing and want to promote products (your own or as an affiliate), it’s for you too! BigSellingVideoOptins teaches you what you need to know about list building and gives you these professional looking templates.

The only downside I have found to this product is a missing instruction about how to finally integrate the customized html file into an existing website or blog. I already mailed Brian Terry about this inconvenience and I am sure he will find a quick solution.

BigSellingVideoOptins costs less than 50 bucks. All in all the nicely designed templates (which I wouldn’t be able to create on my own), the courses about Video Marketing and Gimp, as well as the listbuilding eBook and the courses on HTML and FTP (those are for technical newbies), are without any doubt worth the money. Während Yaro mit seinem BluePrint und dem Kurs die grundlegenden Techniken für die Installation und Gestaltung des Blogs außen vor ließ und sich auf inhaltliche Fragen und Marketing konzentrierte, soll Becomeablogger.com echten Einsteigern in das Blogging-Hobby oder -Geschäft die technischen Grundlagen vermitteln.

Becomeablogger.com bietet kostenlose Video-Tutorials mit Yaro Starak WordPress in der Hauptrolle.

Das Design ist modern, freundlich und fröhlich:

Ich halte es für eine gute Idee von Yaro, dass er auch diesen Bereich des Weblog-Wissens in sein Repertoire aufgenommen hat. Die Technik – der Anfang – ist doch immer am Schwersten. Bleibt ihm zu wünschen, dass Becomeablogger.com ein ebenso großer Erfolg wird wie seine anderen Projekte.

Nachtrag: Yaro Starak wird auch auf der 2008 Social Media Telesummit mit einem Vortrag vertreten sein. Mein Platz ist gebucht und ich bin schon sehr gespannt.

Yaro Starak mit neuer Homepage für Blog-Neulinge

Aufgrund meiner Ebay-A(u)ktionen (Ebay hat übrigens eine Stampit-Web-Schnittstelle) und angeregt durch eine Werbemail der Deutschen Post AG, die ankündigte, dass zukünftig für die Stampit Business Version (einmaliger Lizenzpreis 83,50 EUR) keine zusätzlichen monatlichen Gebühren mehr anfallen, habe ich mir Stampit Business nochmal genauer angeschaut.

Angelacht hat mich zuerst die Möglichkeit, Fehlfrankierungen online gutschreiben zu lassen. In der Stampit Homeversion muss der falsch frankierte Umschlag oder Aufkleber innerhalb einer kurzen Frist per Freiumschlag an die Deutsche Post AG gesandt werden, zusammen mit einem Erstattungsantrag. Nach einigen Tagen erhält man in der Portokasse eine Gutschrift. Generell funktioniert diese Low-Tech-Lösung sehr gut, aber irgendwie nervt der bürokratische Aufwand.

Richtig klasse finde ich, dass der Benutzer einer Stampit Business Software auf dem Adressetikett Werbung (Text oder Logo) unterbringen kann. Auch wenn ich selbst nicht gewerblich tätig bin, kann ich aber auf meiner Post für andere werben (oder für Mimipedia.de, einen einzelnen Artikel, meine Ebayangebote, usw.) Das sieht dann nicht nur der Empfänger, sondern auch der Briefsortierer, Briefträger und alle, die die Post in die Hand bekommen. Gut für alle mit einem guten Slogan (ich suche noch …)!

Abrechnen könnte man diese Werbeplätze über die Anzahl von Aufdrucken; die Menge der frankierten Briefe kann man ja anhand des Frankierjournals ermitteln.

Anhand der Screenshots ist es natürlich kein Geheimnis mehr, dass ich mir die Stampit Business Software – zusammen mit einer Maul Päckchenwaage, die an den PC angeschlossen werden kann und das Gewicht an Stampit senden kann - gegönnt habe.
